Lodestars Anthology

from £10.00

Welcome to Lodestars Anthology, a magazine for curious travellers who long to see, eat around, chat about and experience this big old world of ours.

Basically, we’re a magazine-meets-journal all about place, travel and exploration, one you’ll ideally like to keep atop a coffee table. Or filled with scribblings and safely stored in your suitcase.

New revisited issue - New Zealand

New Zealand (Aotearoa) is a land of myth, created, according to Māori lore, when the Polynesian Demi-God Māui cast a fishhook crafted from an ancestor’s jawbone off the canoe in which he had stowed himself away.

With this, he hauled from the ocean’s depths a giant fish, which became the North Island, its mountains and rivers carved out by his brothers impatient to devour the catch. The South Island is their canoe, with secluded Rakiura, found at what feels like the end of the earth, formed from its anchor stone. Today, with its sleeping volcanoes, mighty fjords, seemingly endless coastline and ability to make visitors feel deliciously small, New Zealand remains shrouded in a special kind of magic.

This updated and reimagined New Zealand (Aotearoa) issue will be out in January 2026, but is available to pre-order now.

Some featured destinations: Milford Sound, Rotorua, Taupō, Queenstown, Stewart Island, Northland, Bay of Islands, Hawke's Bay, Abel Tasman National Park, Mount Cook / Aoraki, Wellington, Marlborough Sounds & much, much more.

Independently published, distributed internationally and all set to explore the globe one country (or should that be one issue) at a time.
